Lights, "Camara," Action!

I've always had a soft spot for Henri Camara. The Wigan forward plays with a smile on his face, and ever since Senegal's glorious World Cup run in 2002, I've been a massive Papa Bouba Diop and Camara supporter. They just looked like they were having fun. I like to have fun, so I like them.

The Senegalese striker is valued at only 4.7MM, and with Zamalek's Zaki's fantasy star fading due to injury, perhaps a punt on Camara may soon be in order.

If (and this is a huge "if") Camara can nail down a starting role either alongside Heskey if Zaki remains injury prone, or alongside Zaki if Heskey gets transferred in January and/or suffers injuries as well, then Camara must be owned universally. At the bargain price of 4.7MM, he would be a wonderful bench option if he played regularly and would free up tons of cash to spend elsewhere...

Those Ismael Miller, Carlton Cole, Shola Ameobi, Ricardo Fuller, and Bobby Zamora owners should keep an extra eye on the strike force developments at the JJB stadium. A 4.7MM pearl of a player (with a smile on his face) could soon find his way onto your respective benches...

That's a lot of big "if's." But with everyone and their dogs being after Zaki in January (Real Madrid, etc.), Wigan might have a hard time keeping him. Enter Camara. He's been completely out of it for a while (mainly due to injuries, as far as I can tell), but he has been a regular scorer in the past. If he can recapture that form... who knows?

Add Ryan Taylor as a goal-scoring, assist-providing bargain defender, and Wigan are fantasy relevant again, all of a sudden.

lets not all get carried away with 'no goals' wigan

Anyone have an opinion on 5.9m james milner? could be a contender in the vlaencia/diaby (worst tip ever by the way) position

Newpass -

Don't think Diaby was ever a "tip." I think the line was "have a spare transfer and feeling very lucky?" - since he was playing out of position while RvP was suspended and Adebayor injured...

Milner has looked lively recently - but if Carew returns in a 4-4-2 he could be sacrificed. Villa are prime for investment now after two excellent performances against Arsenal and United, and you know what that usually means... a bunch of let-down fantasy managers...

Aston Villa are terribly inconsistent, however for the first time in years they have started putting in decent displays against the big four. I feel they are one of the harder teams to pick players from due to this inconsistency factor, with the Young connection being the only players i would consider from them. Gabby has bags of potential but i still feel he will go 3 gameweeks here and there without major points on the board. Now that their tricky patch, where they did surprisingly well out of, has passed i can see an influx of villa lads being the flavour of the month for alot of managers. I will consider A Young carefully as soon as him and carew can link up again for assist paradise.
