A Fantasy Premier League International Break with a (Former) Fantasy Footie Phenom

The (fantasy) international break is upon us. While you dream of World Cup 2010 qualification glory for your US, England, or Germany, I sit in my office working on mobile phones but dreaming of being out on the pitch with bags of skill like this guy, Didier Drogba.

It was only two years ago that Drogba was lighting up the Premier League with his power and pace. 20 league goals in the 2006-2007 season, how times have changed. We have Torres, Zaki, and Defoe now, $4 a gallon gas instead of $2 a gallon gas, and GChat instead of AOL Instant Messenger.

Oh, Didier, your time has come and gone. Cheers lad, you always impressed me.

Good luck to all managers over the international break. Use the comments to discuss fantasy favorites of the past, present, and future.

You know who would have been a fantasy beast in the mid 90s...Robbie Fowler (aka, God). The future...Dani Pacheco, Kryztian Nemeth and Daniel Sturridge (once he leaves Man City this summer).

Good ones. Frazier Campbell (2010), Danny Welbeck & Scott Sinclair(2011) and Freddie Sears / Jack Rodwell (2012) too. Sebastian Giovinco (if he ever comes to the Prem) will also be a stud.

@ Bmatt: Knee Injury all summer, now another knee injury and already 30 years old... not the best news for a predatory finisher who relies on power and pace...
